What causes wheels tracking left or right while DR Vacuum Cleaner is being towed?
    • J
      Joseph DominguezSep 23, 2025
Wheels tracking left or right while being towed can be caused by incorrect tire pressure. Check the tire pressure and adjust it to the tire manufacturer's recommended pressure, which can be found on the side of the tire.

What to do if leaves or grass come out where the outlet chute and enclosure meet on DR Vacuum Cleaner?
    • M
      Monica MartinezSep 23, 2025
If you notice leaves or grass escaping where the outlet chute and enclosure meet, ensure the enclosure sleeve is fully installed around the outlet duct. Additionally, try rocking the impeller housing to check for looseness; if it's loose, tighten the bolts located behind the impeller.

What to do if my DR Trimmer engine will not start manually?
    • M
      Michael EspinozaNov 23, 2025
If the engine of your DR Trimmer won't start manually, ensure the spark plug wire is properly attached and that the engine has the correct amount of clean oil. If the oil is dirty, change it. For a cold engine, push the primer bulb 3 to 5 times, releasing it fully each time. Use fresh, clean, unleaded gas, and add a fuel stabilizer if storing gas longer than one month. Check the fuel filter to ensure it's clear. Also, confirm the air filter is clean, the throttle is in the RUN position, and the throttle cable is correctly attached and moving freely. Make sure the spark plug is clean; if it's dirty or cracked, replace it. If it’s oily, remove it, cover the spark plug hole with a rag, pull the recoil cord several times to clear any oil from the cylinder, then wipe and reinsert the spark plug...

What to do if my DR Lawn and Garden Equipment engine will not start?
    • R
      Roy SmithNov 26, 2025
If your DR Lawn and Garden Equipment engine won't start, try these steps: Ensure the throttle is in the most forward position (or RUN position if the engine is warm). Check the throttle cable to confirm it's attached to the engine and moves freely. Verify the spark plug wire is properly attached. Make sure the engine has the correct amount of clean oil; if the oil is dirty, change it. Use fresh, clean, unleaded gas; if the gas is old, replace it, and consider using a fuel stabilizer if you store gas for more than a month. Check the fuel filter (if equipped) to ensure it's clear. Confirm the air filter is clean; if dirty, replace it according to the Engine Owner’s Manual. Finally, check that the spark plug is clean; replace it if dirty or cracked. If it’s oily, remove it, cover the spark pl...

Why is my DR Lawn and Garden Equipment engine smoking?
    • J
      Jessica MyersSep 1, 2025
If your DR Lawn and Garden Equipment engine is smoking, possible causes include: the oil level may need adjustment, you might be operating the machine on too steep of an incline, the air filter could be dirty and need cleaning or replacing, you may be using the wrong type of oil (too light for the temperature), or the engine cooling fins and carburetor housing might be dirty and require cleaning. Refer to your Engine Owner’s Manual for detailed information about the oil.

How to fix a DR Trimmer recoil that won't pull?
    • S
      sanchezmichelleAug 26, 2025
If the recoil on your DR Trimmer is difficult to pull or won't pull out, check the engine oil level, as the engine may be seized. An oil compression lock in the cylinder might be the cause. Remove the spark plug, cover the spark plug hole with a rag, and pull the recoil cord several times to clear any oil from the cylinder. Wipe off the spark plug and reinstall it. If this doesn't resolve the issue, the recoil may be broken or jammed. With the spark plug wire off, try turning the engine pulley by hand. If it turns, the recoil is broken or jammed.

What to do if my DR Lawn Mower engine lacks power?
    • J
      Joanna WilliamsAug 26, 2025
If your DR Lawn Mower engine lacks power or isn't running smoothly, ensure the throttle lever is in the RUN position. The spark plug(s) may be dirty or cracked, so replace it. If the spark plug(s) is oily, remove it, hold a rag over the plug hole(s) and crank the engine over a couple of times using the electric starter to blow out any oil in the cylinder(s), then wipe off the plug(s) and reinsert it. Use a fuel stabilizer if you keep gas longer than one month, as the gas must be fresh and clean. Also, the engine may not have the right amount of clean oil, so change it if it is dirty.

What to do if the blades are not cutting on my DR Lawn Mower?
    • J
      Joy RobertsAug 27, 2025
If the blades are not cutting or are loose on your DR Lawn Mower, tighten the blade carrier mounting bolt as tight as possible by hand with at least a 1ft long 1-1/8” wrench. Re-tighten the swinging blade mounting hardware if a swinging blade is too loose on the blade carrier. Sharpen the swinging blades if they may be dull or nicked.

Why does the belt fray on my DR Lawn Mower?
    • J
      Jeanette ClayAug 27, 2025
The belt on your DR Lawn Mower might fray or roll over the pulley because there may be a nick in a pulley groove, so check the belt for wear and hard spots and file off any nicks on the pulley. The belt may be stretched, so replace it.

Why does my DR Trimmer engine smoke?
    • M
      Mrs. Brandi CollinsAug 28, 2025
If your DR Trimmer engine smokes, first verify that the oil level is correct. Reduce the incline at which you are operating the machine, as this can cause smoking. Inspect the air filter; clean or replace it if necessary. Ensure you are using the correct oil type for the temperature; consult your Engine Owner’s Manual for details. Also, clean the engine cooling fins and carburetor housing if they are dirty.
