2. Select the Alarms button in the menu bar of the patient’s
BedView page.
3. Select the Arrhythmia tab.
4. If desired, select the desired arrhythmia mode using the ARR
mode buttons (Basic or Advanced or OFF). OFF requires clinical
password.
5. Select the corresponding button in the Alarm column to select
the alarm priority (High, Medium, Low, or OFF). When an ar-
rhythmia alarm is turned OFF the following symbol appears:
Asystole (ASY) and ventricular fibrillation (VF) events
are always assigned a high alarm priority. These priorities can-
not be changed (appear grey).
6. Select the corresponding setup field in the Rate column to set
the rate, if applicable.
7. Select the corresponding setup button in the Count column to
set the count, if applicable.
8. Use one of the following settings in the Archive column to de-
termine what happens in response to an alarm:
o Off: no event is stored and no recording is generated.
o Store: stores the event in the disclosure database.
o Record: generates a strip recording.
o Store/Rec: stores the event in the disclosure database
and generates a strip recording.
9. Repeat steps 5 through 8 for each parameter to be configured.
10. Select the Apply button.
