INFINITY CENTRAL STATION (ICS)
Provides simultaneous central monitoring and critical care man-
agement of up to 32 patients per ICS. It is the primary patient mon-
itoring display and alarm source for M300 patients. It is the sec-
ondary patient monitoring display and alarm source for Infinity pa-
tient monitors displayed on the Main screen.
MAIN SCREEN
The primary ICS screen displays up to 16 patients (up to 32 patients
in dual screen configuration) which are assigned at the ICS for cen-
tral monitoring.
VIEWPORT
A slot on the ICS Main screen that is assigned to a patient; it con-
sists of a waveform area, a parameter box and a header.
BEDVIEW
A window on the ICS displaying the content of a bedside monitor or
M300.
M300
A patient-worn transceiver that uses the ICS as the primary patient
monitoring display and primary alarm source.
INFINITY PATIENT MONITORS
Monitors located at the bedside of the patient or accompanying the
patient on transport that provide continuous monitoring and data
collection of multiple parameters. Often referred to as the bedside
monitor in this document.
HL7
An interface for patient admission and laboratory values, which re-
quires an Infinity Gateway.
