Alarm Pause
The monitor issues alarms for parameters that are set to ON in the
Alarm Limits table. It is not a prerequisite for the parameter to be
on display or connected
for a parameter to alarm. Turning a param-
eter’s alarm function Off prevents the parameter from triggering an
alarm.
TO PAUSE AUDIO ALARMS FOR 2 MINUTES
1. Press Alarm Silence fixed key to pause an alarm for 2 minutes.
2. Parameter box becomes solid color for grade of the alarm.
3. A banner appears at the top of the screen with the message:
Audio Paused and the countdown timer.
4. Press Alarm Silence a second time while 2 minute timer is run-
ning: timer resets to 2 minutes.
5. The alarm tone resumes if a new alarm occurs during an alarm
silence period, or if any alarm condition persists past the 2 mi-
nute silence period.
Note: When backwards compatibility is enabled Alarm Silence is for 1 mi-
nute.
ALL ALARMS OFF
1. Press All Alarms OFF key to suspend visual and audible alarms
for a default set period of time (off, 1-5 min).
2. A banner appears at the top of the screen with the message:
All Alarms Paused and the countdown timer.
3. Alarms remain suspended until you press the All Alarms OFF
fixed key again or the time-out period expires.
WARNING: Never leave a patient unattended when alarms have
been permanently turned off. Always enable alarms again as soon
as possible.
