ume, and temperature of injectate.
TO PERFORM A CARDIAC OUTPUT MEASUREMENT
1. Choose Auto or Manual Injection
o In Auto Mode, press the CO Start key on the Hemopod. Av-
eraging screen will appear on monitor. Inject when given
READY message. Inject following each READY message for
additional measurements. If Ready message fails to appear
or appears only intermittently switch to Manual mode
o In Manual Mode, you must press the CO Start key before
each injection.
2. Thermodilution curves and the numeric CO will be displayed
3. Use Rotary knob to highlight Review Curves, click.
4. Use Rotary knob to highlight any value to be discarded, click, a
slash appears through the discarded value.
5. The CO average is displayed.
6. Use Rotary knob to highlight SAVE, click.
7. The last CO value is displayed in the CO parameter box.
HEMO/OXY/VENTILATION CALCULATIONS
1. Press Fast Access key.
2. Use Rotary knob to highlight Calculations, click.
3. Use Rotary knob to highlight Capture Values, click.
4. Any parameter not being monitored electronically may be
entered manually by clicking on the parameter and entering
the values, click each to confirm.
5. Use Rotary knob to highlight Calculate, click.
6. Values are displayed on screen, use left sidebar to scroll.
7. One set of Calcs may be saved as a reference.
8. Use Rotary knob to highlight Report, click, request is sent to
assigned laser printer.
