6. Insert the adapter in a vertical position between the elbow
and ventilator circuit “Y, and position sensor cable away from
patient.
7. Confirm proper connections to ventilator and patient.
8. Access the etCO2 menu and confirm correct settings. Adjust
Gas Compensation (etCO2 pod) or O2 Compensation (etCO2
module), adjust Scale, Averaging, Resp Sweep Speed, Atm
Pressure, Apnea alarm, and etCO2 alarm.
