● Alternating between inspiration and expiration, the
pressure gauge should indicate a consistent
inspiratory pressure and the preset end-expiratory
pressure of approximately 5 cmH2O.
● The display should now shows a minute ventilation of
with a tolerance of ±1.0 L/min.
● Disconnect test lung.
● Display after approximately 25 seconds:
together with an intermittent audible alarm.
● Reconnect test lung.
● The intermittent audible alarm tone should stop after
approximately 25 seconds.
1 Press »g Reset« to clear the display.
If values are outside tolerance:
● Replace flow sensor.
Checking End-Expiratory Pressure (PEEP)
2 Set »PEEP« knob to 0 cmH2O.
3 Reading on pressure gauge at end of expiration:
0 cmH2O +2 cmH2O tolerance.
2 Set »PEEP« knob to 10 cmH2O.
3 Reading on pressure gauge at end of expiration:
10 cmH2O ±2 cmH2O tolerance.
2 Set »PEEP« knob back to 0 cmH2O.
