7.2. Operating Menu
The output signals of the Dräger RailGard are provided by potential-free relay
contacts. These contacts can be used for safety related actions / counter measures.
Under normal operating conditions the relays are energized (normally open) – the
realys are energized on alarm.
Caution!
Voltage spikes can be generated, by switching of an inductive load, which
can interfere with the function of electrical equipment and may damage the
relay contacts. It is recommended to protect inductive loads by an RC
combination, e.g. 0.1 uF/ 100 Ohms.
Start menu by pressing the F1 button.
Once the menu is started, the F1 button is used for the selection of operating
function.
Pressing the F2 button will activate the selected function.
An "electronic lock" is provided to protect the settings.
During the initial configuration the display will indicate PXXX . Start turning the
potentiometer “L” until 28 will appear in the display (electronic lock). The unit will
automatically switch back to the main menu, if no button is pressed with 6 minutes.
