Strictly follow the Instructions for Use
Any use of the Dräger X-plore
®
helmets, hoods and visors requires full understanding
and strict observation of these instructions and the Instructions for Use of the
Dräger X-plore 7300/7500/9000 basic device.
The helmets, hoods and visors are only to be used for the purposes specified here.
Maintenance
The helmets, hoods and visors must be inspected and serviced on a regular basis by compe-
tent personnel.
Repair of the helmets, hoods and visors may only be carried out by trained service personnel.
We recommend that a service contract be obtained with Dräger Safety and that all repairs also
be carried out by them.
Only genuine Dräger parts may be used for maintenance.
Accessories
Do not use accessory parts other than those specified in the order list.
Safety symbols used in these Instructions for Use
These Instructions for Use contain a number of warnings for risks and hazards which might
occur when using the device. These warnings contain signal words, which will alert you to the
degree of hazard you may encounter. These signal words and corresponding hazards are as
follows:
Description/Intended Use
The Dräger X-plore helmets, hoods and visors are suitable for use in industry, trades and ag-
riculture in combination with the Dräger X-plore 7300/7500 purifying respirators and the
Dräger X-plore 9000 compressed air hose unit. They are also suited for persons wearing spec-
tacles or beards.
Facepiece versions:
A1 - Dräger X-plore protective hood short TH2 (grey/orange)
A2 - Dräger X-plore protective hood long TH2 (grey/orange)
A3 - Dräger X-plore protective hood long TH3 (white)
A4 - Dräger X-plore protective visor TH2 polycarbonate/acetate
A5 - Dräger X-plore safety helmet with visor TH2 (grey)
To ensure the best protection for the user in any working situation, it is required to select the
adequate combination of Dräger X-plore helmets, hoods and visors together with the breathing
apparatus.
