Later transport of the Dual 701
Important: The platter of the Dual 701 lies directly on the
rotor of the electronically-regulated diroct drive motor, and
it must be removed prior to any transport In addition, the
chassis must be secured to the base with the transport safely
screws. Loosen the screws by turning them Counter clock
wise, then pull them up and tighten again by continuing to
turn them counterclockwise, (Fig. 21.
Attention! After each transport or installation, the Dual 701
must be started once with the tonearm in locked position for
automatic adjustment of the shutoff mechanism, To ini
tiste the automatic “Start” or “Stop” function, press the
start switch all the way in each direction. Upon release, the
switch returns immediately to its resting position.

The Dual 701 can be connected to AC 110/125 V, or 220/
240 V.It is usually set for 220 V.
Unlike the conventional record player motors ¡AC motors}.
the motor of tha Dual 701 is electronically regulated; its
speed
is
independent
of
the
power
line
frequency.
The
Dual
701 can, therefore, be operated on line frequencies of 40 to
60 Hz (eps) without any adjustment or change of motor.

To convert power voltage from 220 V to 110 V, and vice
versa, resolder the wiring of the connecting cable on the
power supoly board which will be accessible after the pro-
tective cover is removed (Fig. 5].
Only your Dual dealer or other authorized Dual personnel
should perform the conversion.

Behandeling bij transport
Het plateau van de Dual 701 is zonder borging op de rotor
van de aandrijving geplaatst en moet dus bij elk transport
afgenomen.
Let op! Na elk transport of na plaatsing in de console moet
het apparaat eerst in een speelklare conditie worden go-
bracht. Daartoe zei U de Toonarm vast onder de vergrendeling
op de toonarmsteun, waarna de start-stop toets in de stand
"START" wordt gedrukt. Op deze wijze verkrijgt men sen
automatische justering van het start- en afslagmechanisme.
Aansluiten
van de netspanning

Het apparaat kan worden aangesloten aan 110-125 V of
220-240 V wisselspanning. Het is doorgaans ingesteld voor
220 V (controleren).

De omschakeling van de netspanning van 220 Volt nas
110 Volt en omgekeerd is mogelijk door hot omsolderen van
het netsnoer op de aansluitplaat van de netvoeding, die na
afnemen van de afdekkap toegankelijk is (fig. 5).
