Front fork adjusters
The front fork has rebound and compression damping
adjusters.
This adjustment is done using the outer adjusters:
1) (fig. 17.1) to adjust rebound damping;
2) (fig. 17.1) to adjust inner springs preload;
3) (fig. 17.2) to adjust compression damping.
Put and secure the motorcycle in vertical position.
Turn the adjuster (1) on fork leg top with a 3-mm (0.12-in.)
Allen wrench to adjust rebound damping.
To reach the adjuster (3), insert a 3-mm (0.12-in.) Allen
wrench into the hole as shown in fig. 17.2.
As you turn the adjusting screws (1 and 3), you will hear
them click. Each click identifies a setting. Turn the screw
all the way in to set the hardest damping (position 0).
This will be your starting point. Now turn the screw
anticlockwise and listen for the clicks that identify setting
positions no. “1”, “2” and so on.
