Adjusting the rear brake pedal position (fig. 18)
To suit the requirements of each rider, the position of the
rear brake lever can be adjusted relative to the footpeg.
To adjust the position of the rear brake pedal, proceed as
follows:
Loosen locknut (5).
Turn the pedal travel adjustment screw (6) until the pedal
is in the desired position.
Tighten the locknut (5).
Work the pedal by hand to check that there is 1.5 - 2 mm
play before brake begins to bite.
If this is not so, change the length of pump valve plunger
as follows.
Loosen the locknut (7) on the pump valve plunger.
Tighten plunger (8) on fork (9) to increase the play, or
unscrew it to reduce it.
Tighten locknut (7) and check the pedal play again.
