The EW Series Full-automatic Computer Wire Stripping Machine, manufactured by Wenzhou East World Import & Export Co., Ltd., is a versatile device designed for precise wire processing. This machine is suitable for cutting, head-stripping, tail-stripping, and middle-stripping of various wire types, including single-strand, multi-strand, and sheathed wire. It boasts CE and ISO9001 certifications, indicating adherence to quality and safety standards.
Function Description
The primary function of the EW Series machine is to automate the process of preparing wires by cutting them to specified lengths and stripping insulation from their ends or middle sections. This automation significantly enhances efficiency and accuracy in wire processing tasks.
Important Technical Specifications
- Processing Cross-sectional Area: The machine can handle wires with a cross-sectional area ranging from 0.1 to 50 mm².
- Maximum Cutting Length: It is capable of cutting wires up to 100 meters in length.
- Head-stripping Length: The maximum head-stripping length is 200 mm.
- Tail-stripping Length: The maximum tail-stripping length is 100 mm.
- Power Adapter: Requires AC 220–250V, 50–60HZ. A power voltage stabilizer is recommended to prevent damage from over-voltage.
- Operating Room Temperature: 0–35°C.
- Communication: Equipped with a standard RS485 communication function, allowing control via a host computer (PLC, PC). Communication hardware specifications are 38400, 8, 1, N.
Usage Features
The EW Series offers several models tailored to specific needs:
- EW-07B: Ideal for stripping and twisting super short and thin wires, with a minimum wire length of 28-30 mm.
- EW-06D: Features a rollers lifting function during stripping, making it suitable for sheathed wires, especially those with long wire heads and tails.
- EW-05B: The optimal choice for processing super thick cable wires with cross-sectional areas of 35-50 mm².
The machine's operation is managed through a user-friendly interface comprising a 192 × 64 dot matrix LCD display and a 23-key keyboard.
Key Operational Controls:
- Single-step/Cyclic Operation: A short press initiates a single-step operation; holding the button for more than 0.5 seconds starts a continuous loop.
- Start/Stop: Dedicated buttons for initiating and stopping the machine's work.
- Reset: Performs a reset action. In working state, it shuts down the machine after the reset.
- Parameter Setup:
- Stripping Parameter Setup (Key 0): Allows adjustment of stripping parameters like front end length, front half stripping, total length, rear half stripping end length, cutter value, and knife retreat.
- Speed Parameter Setup (Key 1): Configures cutting speed, feeding speed, stripping speed, and pause time.
- Twisting Parameter Setup (Key 2): Adjusts twisting parameters.
- Function Setting (Key 3): Enters the setting picture corresponding to the current function.
- Output Settings (Key 8): Configures output parameters.
- Function Setting Picture (Key 9): Enters the function setting picture.
- Program Settings: A dedicated button to enter program settings.
- Data Input/Clear: Keys for entering numerical data (0-9) and clearing input data.
- Parameter Adjustment: Keys to increase or decrease parameter values (e.g., knife value plus 1, knife value minus 1).
- Data Save/Discard: Keys to save modified data to EEPROM or discard changes.
- Exit Setup: Exits parameter setup states and returns to the work picture.
- System Arrangement: A dedicated key to enter system arrangement, requiring a password (10010011).
Work Modes:
The machine supports 6 kinds of wire cutting & stripping procedures:
- Line Mode: Functions similarly to traditional wire cutting machines, with the option to mount a wire twisting device.
- Short-term Model: Similar to the long-term model but with different stripping actions and no twisting line function.
- Multi-segment Peeling: Allows for stripping multiple segments of a wire. In this mode, the total length is automatically calculated based on individual segment lengths and front end length. The twisting line function is invalid in this mode.
Stripping Set Matters Needing Attention:
- Total stripping length must be greater than the sum of front end length and back-end length.
- For communication control, ensure the machine is in the display screen work and non-parameter setup state.
- Use appropriate speed settings.
- In work and non-parameter settings, the cutter set value can be directly pressed without stopping.
- If the four running indicator lights flash, it means parameters are set, and the machine can start.
- Twisting Line Setting: The first torsional offset parameter is for short-term twisting. It adjusts the distance between the wire feeding and twisting wheel. A general line setting of 32 is common.
Maintenance Features
- Lubrication: Regular oiling of the oiling hole at the top of the knife rack is crucial for smooth operation and longevity.
- Cleaning: The line wheel and pulleys should be cleaned if dirt is present to prevent slipping and ensure proper wire conveyance.
- Knife Blade Adjustment:
- MAX2 Knife Position: The distance between the noses of the two knife blades should be 8-10 mm, and the distance between their V-shape bottom points should be around 34 mm.
- Changing Knife Blades:
- The up plane of the inner left knife rack should be 19 mm below the right knife rack plane and 4 mm lower than the knife rack outside frame.
- The left gear should be 1 gear height higher than the middle gear, and the right gear should be 6 gear heights higher than the middle gear.
- After adjustment, insert both sides of the knife rack gears into the middle axil tooth and fix the screws.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive "Phenomenon and Exclusion" section to help users identify and resolve common issues such as thread stripping without, wire stripping without tail, severe barotrauma, thrum peel line core cut, incorrect line length, head and tail cut off, conducting wires together without knife broken, and power issues.
- Fuse Replacement: If the fan does not work or the screen is normal but the machine cannot move, check and replace the two 5A insurance tubes on the circuit board. If the issue persists, contact customer service.
