5 Operation
5.1 Start-upandnormaloperaon
CheckthattheindicaonsonthenameplatelocatedonthebackoftheUPS
meetstotheACpowersourceandthetrueelectricalconsumponofthe
total load.
5.1.1 Baery charge
TheUPSchargesthebaeryassoonasitisconnectedtotheACoutlet,whether
theON/OFFbuonispressedornot.ItisrecommendedthattheUPSbeperma-
nently connected to the AC power supply to ensure the best possible autonomy.
Buon funcon:
1. Buzzermute:
Pushthebuonfor<2stomutethebuzzertemporarilywhenthereisafaultoccur
orbaerytestfail.
2. UPSon/o:
Pushthebuonfor>2s,thentopoweron/otheUPS.
3. Silencemode:
LetUPSworkinginthestandbymode,thentopushthebuonfor>11stoenter
theconguraonmode.
To start the UPS:
1. Verify that the UPS power cord is plugged in.
2. Thereisasinglebuzzerindicaon.
3. Press the buonontheUPSfrontpanelforfewseconds.
ChecktheUPSfrontpaneldisplayforacvealarmsornoces.Resolveanyacve
alarms before connuing;if the indicator illuminates in red, do not proceed
unlall alarms areclear (see“Troubleshoong” secon). Check the UPS status
fromthefrontpaneltoviewtheacvealarms.Correctthealarmsandrestartif
necessary.
