Overview

The Alligator Allocator Model 100 is a manual allocation system designed for dispensing two different concentrated products from shipping containers into use containers. This system is characterized by its ease of installation and operation, requiring only an air source for functionality, with no electricity or water needed.

Function Description:

The Alligator Allocator provides manual control over the dispensing process. Users depress palm buttons on the front of the dispenser to initiate and maintain product flow. The duration of dispensing is directly controlled by how long the buttons are held down. When a palm button is depressed, air pressure is applied to product control valves, which in turn activates the product pumps. Simultaneously, air pressure is directed to pressure switches, closing a circuit that runs the Time Totalizers. These Time Totalizers, powered by internal batteries, record the dispensing duration, offering a means to track usage without external power. The system is designed to "take the bite out of the cost" by providing controlled allocation.

  • Dual Product Dispensing: Capable of dispensing two different concentrated products simultaneously or independently.
  • Time Totalizers: Integrated Time Totalizers track the duration of dispensing for each product. These totalizers are battery-powered and do not require external electricity.
  • Adjustable Flow Rate and Pump Speed: The air regulator on the dispenser allows for adjustment of the flow rate and pump speed to suit user preferences and specific application needs.
  • Easy Start-up: The start-up procedure involves inserting probes into product drums, placing use containers, and activating the timer (if needed) before depressing palm buttons to initiate flow.
  • Anti-Siphon Valves: The system includes anti-siphon valves to prevent backflow and ensure proper product delivery. These valves have a flow arrow to indicate the correct installation direction.

Maintenance Features:

  • Troubleshooting Guide: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting section to address common issues such as pumps not running, running too slow or fast, or failing to prime.
  • Resetting Time Totalizers: The Time Totalizers can be reset by pressing dedicated buttons on their front face. For a full reset, the dispenser door can be opened to access reset buttons on the back of the totalizer.
  • Air Pressure Regulation: Issues with pump speed (too slow or too fast) can often be resolved by adjusting the air pressure regulator.
  • Air Leak Detection: If pumps run but do not prime, checking for air leaks on the suction side of the pumps and their connections is recommended.
  • Anti-Siphon Valve Orientation: The troubleshooting guide highlights checking the orientation of the anti-siphon valve if priming issues occur, as incorrect installation (backwards) can impede flow.
  • Component Replacement: A detailed replacement parts list is provided with part numbers and descriptions, facilitating easy identification and ordering of necessary components for repairs and maintenance.
  • Qualified Personnel Requirement: Installation and servicing instructions are intended for use by qualified personnel only, emphasizing the importance of professional handling for safety and proper functioning.
