4.3 Mounting the components
4.3.1
Cables, dosing lines and pipe fittings (screwed connections, adapter connections,
valve fittings)
Please observe the following instructions to avoid uncontrolled leakage of the
measuring medium and thus protect the personnel:
n Correct dimensions (Ø, NW) of the lines (for suction, pressure, return and filling).
n Make sure that the pipes have no kinks.
n Make sure that the pipes (lines and pipes) are long enough to meet the requirements.
n Make sure all pipes are properly sealed.
n Make sure all fittings are tight (plastic fittings only need to be tightened by hand).
n All components must be installed free of tension (strain).
4.3.1.1 Suction line (to be provided by the customer)
n Check the connection fitting on the suction side.
n Check that the fixing screws are tightly fastened.
n Install and connect the suction line as described in the annexed the machine/unit
operating instructions.
4.3.1.2 Dosing line (to be performed by the customer)
n Check the connection fitting on the pressure side.
n Check that the fixing screws are tightly fastened.
n Install and connect the pressure line as described in the dosing pump operating
instructions included.
4.3.2 Measuring valve
n Screw the metering valve onto the metering/injection point.
The thread should be sealed with an O-Ring. If this is not possible due to
local circumstances, we recommend sealing it with T
eflon tape or liquid
Teflon.
n Connect the dosing line to the metering valve.
4.4 Installation of suction lance
Check the connection fitting on the suction side.
Check that the fixing screws are tightly fastened
Install and connect the suction line as described in the annexed
metering pump operating instructions
Follow the instructions for connecting the suction line to the machine to feed chemicals to
the metering station:
1. Check the filter in the suction line for contamination.
2. Connect the suction line to the suction connection (if present) or directly to the pump.
