3.1.2 Additional equipment
The following components can be used to expand the functionality or safety-related
features of your metering station:
n Oval gear meter OGM
PLUS
:
used for flow monitoring
n Magnetic inductive flow sensor SMx:
is used for flow monitoring
n Maintenance and flushing valves with manual actuation for suction-side
connection:
Used to change over from suction line to flushing line as well as to block both lines
n Changeover valves without pilot valves for suction-side connection:
With two supply containers connected, of
fer automatic suction lance changeover, with
external actuation (not included as standard)
n Changeover valves with pilot valves and Dual Level Control for suction-side
connection:
With two supply containers connected, offer automatic suction lance changeover
n Optical leakage sensor.
Monitors the seal on the metering station
n Splash guard:
Ensures the physical safety of the metering station
n Drain hole with ball valve and hose connector:
offers the possibility to let the collected negligence run off safely in the collecting tray
of the dosing console.
CAUTION!
A splash guard must be provided if there are more personnel in the vicinity
or if the dosing station has to be passed. A splash guard may also be
necessary depending on the hazard class of the dosing medium.
The additional equipment described above can be configured when
ordering and is then assembled and tested together with the dosing station.
3.2 Incompleteness of the machine

Ecolab does not provide a control unit for the dosing station.
Therefore this dosing station is an incomplete machine.
As an external main controller for the dosing station, the operator of the plant must
provide a controller, e.g. in the form of a programmable logic controller (PLC).
The measures required for integration into a machine can be found in the appendix of the
main operating manual (417101649 Dosing station ECO,

3.3 Component description
The functional and safety-relevant components of the dosing station are described in
