8. Maintenance
8.1 Service Notes
The Lub-O-Mat metering units have been tested and left the factory in perfectly safe
operating condition.
To maintain it in this condition and ensure safe operation, the user must observe the advice
and warnings contained in these operating instructions.
ATTENTION
As a basic precaution, ensure that the unit is not connected to the mains and is not under
pressure before undertaking any maintenance or repair work. An operational test should
be carried out after changing any parts.
CAUTION
Any maintenance work performed while the unit is live should be carried out only by
qualified personnel.
8.2 Maintenance
The following points in particular should be checked when carrying out maintenance work on
the Lub-O-Mat metering units:
• Condition of the fresh water delivery line and the metering line
• Furring and dirt deposits
• Tight-sealing of all parts carrying water or conveyor track lubrication
• Whether the required metering performance is being maintained
• Operation of pump display elements
