6.7 Mode Select Screen
The Mode Selection screen can be accessed from the Manual Control screen.
Control Functions
The operator can select the ‘STORM SYSTEM MODE’ to run in ‘AUTO’ or ‘MANUAL’, or turn
sampling ‘OFF’. In ‘AUTO’ mode the STORM™ unit will continually sample. In ‘MANUAL’ mode
the operator can energise valves individually for testing purposes.
The operator can select the Flocculant Pump ‘FLOC MODE’ to run in ‘AUTO’ or ‘MANUAL’, or
turn Flocculant dosing ‘OFF’. In ‘AUTO’ mode, the Flocculant Pump is automatically controlled
by the STORM™ to maintain a fixed settling rate. In ‘MANUAL’ mode the operator can select
the Flocculant Pump speed set-point.
The operator can select the Coagulant Pump ‘COAG MODE’ in ‘AUTO’ or ‘MANAUL’, or turn
Coagulant dosing ‘OFF’. In ‘AUTO’ mode, the Coagulant Pump is automatically controlled by
the STORM™ to maintain a fixed final (supernatant) turbidity. In ‘MANUAL’ mode the operator
can select the Coagulant Pump speed set-point.
Displayed Information
The STORM and dosing pumps mode selection is highlighted by the mode button changing
colour.
The ‘MANUAL’ mode speed setpoints for the Flocculant and Coagulant Pumps are displayed
in the white boxes below the respective mode.
