A The IUPC is neither intended nor approved for measuring intrauterine pressure
extraovularly; attempting to do so may lead to maternal discomfort or injury.
A To avoid delay of treatment, alarms must be set according to different conditions of
patients. Make sure that audio sounds can be heard when an alarm occurs.
For using the battery:
A Read this manual thoroughly before using the battery. Improper operation may
cause the battery to get hot, catch fire, explode, be damaged or attenuated in
energy.
A Do not heat or throw the battery into fire.
A Do not immerse, throw or wet battery in water/ seawater.
A Do not use, leave the battery close to fire or other places where temperatures may
be above 60°C (140 ºF).
A Do not destroy the battery, pierce it with a sharp object, hit it with a hammer or drop
it on a hard ground. This may cause battery explosion.
A Do not connect the battery directly to an electric outlet or cigarette lighter charger.
A Do not solder the leading wire and the battery terminal directly.
A Stop using the battery if abnormal heat, odor, discoloration, deformation or
abnormal condition is detected during use, charge, or storage. Keep it away from
the monitor.
A If liquid leaking from the battery splashes into your eyes, do not rub them. Wash
them well with clean water and see a doctor immediately.
A If liquid leaks of the battery onto your skin or clothes, wash well with fresh water
immediately.
A Use the battery only in CADENCE II.
CAUTION :
A Federal (U.S.) law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician.
A The device is designed for continuous operation and is “ordinary” (i.e. not drip or
splash-proof). Keep it far from corrosive medicine, dust area, high-temperature and
humid environment.
A Do not operate the unit if it is damp or wet because of condensation or spills. Avoid
using the equipment immediately after moving it from a cold environment to a warm,
humid location.
A Sterility can not be guaranteed if the package of the fetal spiral electrode is broken
or opened.
A Do not sterilize the monitor or any accessory.
A Electromagnetic Interference - Ensure that the environment in which the fetal
monitor is installed is not subject to any source of strong electromagnetic
interference, such as radio transmitters, mobile telephones, etc.
