4.2 Using USB Storage Devices
iSE supports the use of USB storage devices. The USB storage devices have the following usage.
Exporting ECG files. Select System Setting > Print and Storage Setting > External Storage
Forbidden. Turn External Storage Forbidden off. You can now export files from the ECG
File tab to a USB storage device.
Upgrading the software. Place the upgrade package in the root directory of the USB storage
device. Insert the USB device to the electrocardiograph. Select System Setting > System
Upgrade > Upgrade APP by USB. The software will automatically upgrade.
Upgrading the ECG board. Place the upgrade package in the root directory of the USB
storage device. Select the ECG board model from System Setting > Sampling Setting >
Sampling Device. Insert the USB device to the electrocardiograph. Select System Setting >
System Upgrade > Upgrade ECG Board by USB.
If the upgrade fails, select System Setting > System Upgrade > Upgrade ECG Board by USB
again. Or alternatively, restart the electrocardiograph and upgrade again. The ECG board
upgrade takes about 30 seconds. If after that you still don’t receive any message about
upgrade successful. Re-connect the USB device or restart the electrocardiograph. Upgrade
the ECG board again.
Importing a certificate. Place the certificate you want to import to the Cer folder in the USB
storage device. Select System Setting > System Maintenance > Device Maintenance >
Import the encrypted transmission certificate. Now you can import the certificate.
NOTE:
1. The upgrade package should be authorized and provided by the manufacturer.
Unauthorized upgrade of the software may render the device unusable.
2. Don’t pull out the USB device when upgrade is in progress.
3. Only FAT32 format is supported by the USB storage devices.
