INSTALLING GAUGE
SETTING FUEL PRESSURE
Install pressure gauge in 1/8-inch port
(denoted by arrow in Picture 1, below) on
back lower side of fuel pump. Using a
7/16-inch wrench, remove plug and
insert gauge, which is a tight fit on the
lower burner.
At any time while the burner is running,
the pressure should be 200 PSI, except
when the temperature is between 600
and 750 degrees, when it should be 150
PSI.
1. Turn unit on. Set “high fire” to 200 PSI.
As long as the unit is running, you can set
high fire (Picture 2, at upper right).
2. After the temperature reaches 600C,
the unit will be in “low fire.”
3. Set “low fire” to 150 PSI (Picture 3,
lower right).
4. At any point after the temperature
reaches 750C, the pressure will go to
200 PSI.
