To lock in the numeric keypad, press Fn +.
To unlock in the numeric keypad, press Fn + again.
When the numeric keypad is locked in, the letters on the
number keys are deactivated.
To help you identify the status of the numeric keypad, the
num lock status light turns on and off when the keypad is
turned on and off. See “interpreting status lights” for more
information.
