14 • PWR ON LED 026-1727 Rev 3
6 DAC Status LEDs
When a DAC board is powered up, you will be able to determine the operating status of the board by
observing its status LEDs.
6.1. PWR ON LED
The PWR ON LED stays on continuously to show
that the board is powered and operational. If this light
is dark, the board has likely lost power.
6.2. Tx and Rx LEDs
The Tx and Rx LEDs indicate when the DAC is
sending or receiving messages on the RS485 network.
The Tx LED blinks once every time the DAC
sends a response to the E2. The Rx LED blinks once
when the DAC receives a message.
If the DAC is connected to the network and set up
to communicate with the controller, you should see
these lights blinking regularly. If they do not blink
regularly, there may be a problem with the network.
6.3. LED1 Network Status
The amber colored LED1 indicates whether the
DAC is online or offline with the E2. When the DAC
is online, the LED1 will turn on for one second and
off for one second. However, if the DAC is offline,
the LED1 will turn on for half a second and off for
half a second (blink twice as fast). When the DAC is
offline, it reverts to standalone control, using only the
locally connected inputs to control the HVAC unit. In
this state, the controller reverts to an Occupied mode.
6.4. ALARM LED Status
When the red ALARM LED is turned on, the DAC
has an active alarm. When in this state, the Alarm
relay output (if defined) will turn on. Check the E2
advisory log for details on the type of alarm.
