Using the Emme System
Emme Systems are designed to be easy and intuitive to
operate. Because the capabilities of Emme are greatly
enhanced by Internet connectivity, we strongly
recommend connecting Emme to your WiFi network.
Emme Internet Setup and
Connectivity
You can operate Emme from the display or you can use the
secure Emme web portal. The web portal allows you to do
everything that you could do if you were using the display,
including:
• Program, configure and control your Emme and the
heating and cooling equipment it is connected to
from anywhere you have Internet access
Receive important alerts and messages about your •
heating and cooling equipment
Emme Systems can connect with most wireless networks
that use the WiFi standard. You must confi gure the Emme
WiFi settings in order to connect to your wireless network
and make your Emme accessible from the Internet via the
Emme web portal.
Supported WiFi Encryption Protocols
Wireless Router encryption protocols supported by
Emme :
Clear/No Security: with SSID being broadcast•
WEP: 40/64 and 104/128, but only key 0•
WPA: Pre-shared keys; TKIP•
WPA2: Pre-shared keys; Both TKIP and CCMP/AES•
