Before You Begin
This addendum is speci cally for Emme Core +Zone. If
you have general questions about Emme Core,
consult preceding sections of the Emme User Guide.
Emme Core +Zone Basics
A traditional heating and cooling system heats and cools
the entire building whenever the thermostat detects a
temperature beyond the setpoint. A zone system, such as
Emme Core +Zone breaks your building up into smaller
areas called zones. Each zone can be independently heated
and cooled.
Emme Core +Zone uses your temperature schedule
to regulate the temperature. The zone control ensures
that the building is the correct temperature in every
area, reducing over and under conditioning that causes
temperature imbalances.
Emme Core +Zone does not support independent
temperature schedules for each zone. It uses the whole
building schedule to determine the correct temperature
and uses zone control to eliminate temperature uctuations
and provide more precise control.
