4. HANDLING AND TRANSPORT
Unpacking
Unpacking operations have to be done carefully because the outdoor part
of the units has not to be damaged when knifes or cutters are used to
open the carton package.
After unpacking make sure of the unit integrity.
If in doubt, do not use the unit and refer to the authorized technical
personnel
Attention!
Please verify that the two units of the air conditioner do not have been
damaged during the transport
When a complaint is necessary, please get in touch with the carrier to
make immediately sure about the damage and relevant responsibilities
Before throwing away the packages, make sure that all accessories
supplied have been removed from them.
Handling
To move the units, use the pre-cut handles, if placed, on the short sides of
the packaging and follow the laws on work safety at the installation place.
The large sized outdoor and indoor units, must be moved by two people.
The units must be moved using a forklift
ATTENTION
Handling of heavy units
Transport the product as close as possible to the installation site before
unpacking.
Suspension method
When hanging the unit, check the balance of the unit, check the safety
and lift carefully
(1) Do not remove any packing materials.
(2) Hang the unit still packed with two ropes, as shown in Fig.
