Note:
1. "ON" denotes the connection of the jumper, while "OFF" denotes the
disconnection of the jumper.
2. The serial interface isfactory-set to RS-232Clevel. To convert it to current
loop level, cutthe printedpattern between the through holesof J2 at the
reverse side of the interface board and connectJ3 with a jumper plug.
Never select RS-232Clevel and current loop level at the same time,
otherwise the printer will be damaged.

6.8.4 Setting The SwitchesAnd Jumpers On Board #8149
Interface board #8149 contains two DIP switches and 13 jumpers to permit
selection of various conditions. The factory-set and function of each switch
and jumper are shown in Tables 6-29 through 6-33.

Note:
1. This interface board operates when switch 1-1 isON, and does not operate
when it isOFF. Using this switch, the parallel interface of the printer can
be used with the serial board installed. This function is applied to RX and
FX series except MX series.
