4. Set the paper-thickness lever to the maximum position.
5. Pull the paper bail forward.
Secure it in place by moving it forward until the front edge lowers and comes to a stop.
6. Remove the ribbon cartridge.

7. Pull up the jammed paper from front side.
8. Install the ribbon cartridge.
