9. Lift up the front of the paper bail and let it move backwards to return it to its original position.
10. Return the paper release lever and the paper-thickness lever back to the appropriate positions.
11. Close the printer cover.
For jammed paper remains inside the printer
If paper remains inside the printer even after performing the steps for "For jammed continuous
paper" or "For jammed single sheet paper", remove it using the following procedure.
1. Turn off the printer and open the printer cover.
2. Pull the paper bail forward and remove the ribbon cartridge.
See from step 3 in “Replacing the ribbon cartridge” on page 101.
3. Change the paper release lever to the tractor feeding position and set the paper-thickness lever
to the maximum position.
