Return the wiper when cleaning is complete.
Place on the attachment point and press down
until you hear a click.
Clean the other wiper and attachment point in
the same way.
Next, clean the caps.
Cleaning Caps
Before starting this procedure, be sure to read the
following:
U “Precautions regarding maintenance” on page 57
A
Dampen a new cleaning stick (narrow) with ink
cleaner.
U “Using Ink Cleaner” on page 59
B
Hold the cleaning stick (narrow) in a
perpendicular orientation, and wipe off any ink
that has adhered to the inside of the Anti-drying
caps.
c
Important:
Do not touch the insides of the suction caps.
The part maybe deformed, and it may no
longer be possible to perform capping
correctly.
C
Hold the cleaning stick (narrow) in a
perpendicular orientation, and wipe the outer
areas of all the caps.
