1.3 Comments by the Manufacturer to the User
The operating personnel of this ergometer has to :
- be properly instructed and trained regarding the operation of the ergometer,
- have full command regarding the handling of the device,
- be aware of the applicable relevant safety requirements for the operation of such devices, and act
accordingly
1.4 Maintenance, Load Unit Inspection
Before each use, visually check the ergometer for mechanical damage.
If you detect any damage or functional deficiencies which could impair the patient´s or operator´s
safety, do not use variobike 500 until it is checked and repaired.
Maintenance:
The variobike 500 bicycle ergometer must be regularly inspected and maintained, in time intervals
of two years, in accordance with lawful regulations.
Alterations to the ergometer’s measurement capabilities are cause for re-certification.
Load Unit Inspection
Based on the metrological check which is compulsory in Germany every two years, it is necessary
to check the load accuracy of the ergometer.
In all other countries, the frame and method of the metrological check depend on the legal regula-
tions of each country.
1.5 Warranty Regulation
The variobike 500 guarantee is valid for 12 months as of the date of sale, worn and used materials
excluded.
ergoline GmbH is only responsible for the safety and reliability of this device if :
m all revisions, enhancements, repairs and service to the device are carried out by ergoline autho-
rized personnel, e.g. an ergoline dealer,
m ambient electrical service where the device is installed is in conformance to IEC 601-1 and
m the device is operated in accordance with the Operation Manual.
