If you have a saddle with oval rails and purchased the oval rail Flip Head saddle
clamps please review this section. Removal and replacement of the Flip Head
saddle clamp will allow the users to fit a saddle with oval 7x9mm rails (the
standard clamp is for round rails ONLY). Remove the saddle clamp screws, and
the Flip Head outer clamps (Fig. A), as well as the saddle (Fig. B). Fit the new
Flip Head outer clamps and saddle as described on pages 44-45. Adjust the
saddle to your individual preference, then tighten the saddle clamp screws to
4 - 5 Nm.
When changing the Flip Head outer clamps, pay particular attention to the
compatibility of the Flip Head oval outer clamps to the saddle rail size. See table
on the next page for more information.
