Learn how to send and receive messages using the Messages app.
Types of Messages
The Messages app provides the following message types:
● Text messages (SMS)
● Multimedia messages (MMS)
Short Message Service (SMS) includes sending and receiving text
messages to and from other mobile phones or email addresses. To
use this feature, you must have a subscription with a service
provider’s message service.
Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) includes sending and receiving
multimedia messages (such as pictures, videos, and audio messages)
to and from other mobile phones or email addresses. To use this
feature, you must have a subscription with a service provider’s
message service.
Messaging icons are displayed at the top of the screen and indicate
when messages are received and their type.
