Bluetooth
Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a type of software that allows for wireless, short-range
communication between other Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as
headsets, printers, and computers. Bluetooth can reach a range of up
to 30 feet.
Pair with a Bluetooth Device
Through pairing, your device is able to share information with another
Bluetooth-enabled device. Pairing two devices is a one-time process
—in the future, both devices, unless prompted, will remember each
other’s information, allowing them to reestablish communication
without delay.
To pair devices:
● From a Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom to open the
App Drawer and open the Settings app.
● Select “Bluetooth,” switch the toggle to “on,” and select the
device you would like to connect to from the list of available
devices.
○ Ensure that both devices are discoverable. Refer to the
second device’s manual, if possible, to confirm how to
make it discoverable.
○ When Bluetooth is turned on, your phone will scan for
nearby devices and display the results on the screen.
○ For a new scan, tap “More options” and select
“Refresh.”
○ Your phone will attempt to automatically pair with the
other device. The other device may prompt you for a
passcode. Enter the passcode provided in the second
device’s manual, if needed.
