Raw Water System
Washdown Hose Connector
The raw water washdown hose connection is lo-
cated on the port side of the cockpit below the
gunnel and uses a standard garden hose connec-
tor. It is equipped with a valve that allows the
ow of water to be turned on or o. Make sure
the Raw Water switch in the helm switch panel is
on before using the washdown hose.
DO NOT ALLOW THE WATER PUMP TO RUN DRY. THE
PUMP WORKS ON DEMAND AND WILL NOT SHUT OFF
AUTOMATICALLY IF NO WATER IS AVAILABLE. THIS CAN
RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE PUMP. ALWAYS TURN THE RAW
WATER SWITCH OFF WHEN THE RAW WATER SYSTEM IS NOT
IN USE.
8.3 Baitwell
Seawater is provided to the baitwell by a 12 volt
centrifugal pump. This pump is designed to carry
a constant ow of water to the baitwell. The pump
does not have a pressure sensor and is activated
by the Baitwell switch in the helm switch panel.
There is also a light in the baitwell that is activated
by the Baitwell switch.
An overow tube in the baitwell drain automati-
cally controls the water level in the baitwell. Al-
ways turn the pump o at the switch panel when
the baitwell is not in use.
To ll the baitwell, insert the overow tube into the
drain tting at the bottom of the baitwell. Make
sure the seacock valve and the supply valve in
the baitwell are open. Then activate the baitwell
pump. When the water level reaches the overow,
it will begin to circulate. The water ow can be
adjusted by turning the supply valve.
The baitwell raw water intake is equipped with a
high speed pickup that will supply water to the
baitwell if the pump should fail and helps prime the
system during normal operation. To supply water
to the baitwell using the high speed pickup, make
sure the seacock valve is open and run the boat
at a speed above 15 miles per hour. Water will
circulate through the baitwell and out the overow.
To drain the baitwell, turn o the baitwell pump
and remove the overow tube from the drain t-
ting. When the baitwell has completely drained,
use the washdown hose to ush the baitwell and
drain of debris.
Baitwell
The baitwell seacock valve should be closed when-
ever the baitwell is not in use. This will prevent
water from entering the baitwell while the boat
is cruising.
Notice:
Do not use the baitwell as a dry storage
area when it is not in use. Seawater could
accidently be delivered to the baitwell from
the thru-hull tting and damage equipment
stored there.
