VENTILATION SYSTEM
10.1 Head Compartment Ventilation
The console door and vents in the door provide
ventilation to the head compartment in the center
console. Before using the portable head in hot
weather, it is best to open the door for several
minutes to provide maximum ventilation and cool
the head compartment as much as possible.
Make sure the door is fully latched in the closed
position when the head compartment is not be-
ing used and before operating the boat above
idle speed.
10.2 Windshield Ventilation
The windshield can be
lowered to provide ven-
tilation at the helm and
improved visibility. The
windshield is raised and
lowered manually by
two handles on the for-
ward side of the wind-
shield. Special friction
knobs in the track on
each side of the wind-
shield secure it in the
desired position.
To lower the windshield,
hold the windshield in
the up position using the
handles near the upper
edge of the windshield
and loosen the friction
knobs. Slide the windshield down to the desired
position and tighten the friction knobs to secure
it. Reverse the procedure to raise the windshield.
Always make sure the windshield is secured with
both friction knobs when it is in the desired posi-
tion.
