INTERIOR EQUIPMENT
12.1 Head Compartment
The head compartment is equipped with a por-
table marine toilet and storage. The compart-
ment drains to the bilge through drain ttings in
the oor.
Ventilation is provided by vents in the cabin
door. There is also a 12 volt light in the head
compartment that is activated by a switch near
light xture.
A hatch next to the light provides access to the
back of the upper section of the helm station to
service helm components or install electronics.
A large removable hatch provides access lower
helm components, steering system and controls.
Round access hatches in the forward compartment
sole provides access to the forward shbox pump
out, shbox hatch drain system, fuel gauge sender
and fuel tank ll and vent hose connections. The
access plates are threaded and must be rotated
counterclockwise to remove the panel and access
the equipment below.
12.2 Portable Marine Head
The system is made up of two major components,
an upper tank and a lower tank. The upper tank
contains the fresh water supply, a bellows pump,
a seat and the lid. The bottom tank contains
the ush valve, a waste holding tank, a chemical
storage compartment and the drain nozzle. The
components are secured together by a clamping
mechanism when the portable head is ready for
use.
In some areas the law requires that portable
heads be equipped with an optional permanent
deck mounted pump out system to evacuate
the waste with a dockside pump. Boats with a
portable head pump out will be equipped with a
deck tting marked “WASTE” located on the side
of the console. Since this system is required to
be permanent, the bottom waste tank cannot be
removed and the only way to evacuate the system
is by a dockside pump.

rinse. To close and seal the waste holding tank,
simply push the valve handle all the way in.
Monitor the level in the waste tank and empty as
