Sending and Receiving Text Messages
To add a custom text message to the list:
1. Press Menu, then select
Talk Set/Messages > Messages (units with a
talk set) or Messages (units with no talk set).
2. Using the up/down arrows, scroll through the
list and select a message to use as a basis.
3. Press New Message (F1/F2 key).
4. Enter or change the message text using the on-screen keyboard and
press OK (F1/F2 key). The message is added to the list.
To send a text message:
1. Connect the units at each end of the same fiber via their F
ASTEST ports.
2. On the sending unit, press Menu, then select
Talk Set/Messages > Messages (units with a
talk set) or Messages (units with no talk set).
