1.Checkthefront-to-rearbladelevel.Ifthefront
bladetipisnot“R”(seeBlockHeightandRake
TableinDeckLeveling)lowerthantherear
bladetip,adjustthebladelevelusingthefollowing
instructions:
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengage
thebladecontrolswitch.
3.Movethemotioncontrolleversoutwardtothe
neutralposition,engagetheparkingbrake,stop
theengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
4.Checktheairpressureofallfourtires.Ifneeded,
adjusttotherecommendedination;referto
CheckingtheTirePressureinDriveSystem
Maintenancesection.
5.Checkandadjusttheside-to-sidebladelevelif
youhavenotcheckedthesetting;refertoDeck
Leveling.
6.Settheheight-of-cutlevertothe3inch(76mm)
position.Placetwo“B”thickblocks(seeBlock
HeightandRakeTableinDeckLeveling)under
therearedgeofthecuttingdeckskirt;oneon
eachsideofthecuttingdeck.Placetwo“A”thick
blocks(seeBlockHeightandRakeTableinDeck
Leveling)undereachsideofthefrontedgeofthe
deck,butnotundertheanti-scalprollerbrackets.
7.Loosenthelevelingadjustlockingnuts(item1
Figure67)onallfourcornerssothatthedeckis
sittingsecurelyonallfourblocks.Makesurethat
theslackisremovedfromthedeckhangersand
thedeckliftfootleverispushedbackagainstthe
stop,thentightenthefourlevelingadjustlocking
nuts.
