1.Drivethemachineontoalevelsurface.
2.Disengagethebladecontrolswitch(PTO),move
themotioncontrolleverstotheneutrallocked
positionandsettheparkingbrake.
3.Stoptheengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,
andremovethekey.
4.Setupthemachinetobepushedbyhand(see
DriveWheelReleaseValvesintheOperation
section).
5.Raisethebackofthemachineupandsupportthe
machinewithjackstands.
CAUTION
Raisingthemowerdeckforserviceor
maintenancerelyingsolelyonmechanical
orhydraulicjackscouldbedangerous.The
mechanicalorhydraulicjacksmaynotbe
enoughsupportormaymalfunctionallowing
theunittofall,whichcouldcauseinjury.
DoNotrelysolelyonmechanicalorhydraulic
jacksforsupport.Useadequatejackstands
orequivalentsupport.
6.Engage/disengagethebrakeandcheckeachdrive
tiretomakesureeachbrakeengages/disengages.
7.Ifadjustmentisnecessary,disengagethepark
brake.Removecotterpinfromthebrakelinkage
shaft(seeFigure69).
