Solving operating problems
The following is a list of problems you may encounter when using this appliance and some
suggestions that may help to correct the problem. If you still have problems, please contact your
Fisher & Paykel Authorised Repairer.
Pressing POWER does not turn on machine
Is the power switched on at the wall?
Is there a power failure?
Turn off power at power point. Unplug washer from wall. Wait 60 seconds, plug back in, switch
power on and try again.
Could household power supply be at fault? Try plugging in another appliance or plug machine
into another power point.
Touching START / PAUSE does not start the fill
Is the washer door closed properly?
Is the washer paused? If START / PAUSE is flashing it is waiting for a command from you.
Is there a user warning or fault code displayed on the panel? (refer to pages 29 – 31).
Are both hot and cold taps turned on?
Are the inlet hoses attached to the correct taps and to the machine?
Are the inlet hose filters blocked? Check the tap end of the inlet hoses.
Is the inlet hose leaking, twisted or damaged?
Is the water supply at fault?
Is DELAY START set?
Washer stops working mid cycle
Is there a fault code displayed on the digital display screen?
Was there a power or water supply failure?
Has the washer been paused? Is the START / PAUSE light flashing? If yes, touch the START / PAUSE
button.
Is there a lot of suds? The washer may be waiting for these to dissolve before continuing.
Washer drains while filling
Is the height of the drain hose too low? The machine may be siphoning.
Is the drain hose end sitting in water?
Washer is not draining
Is the drain hose blocked?
Is the pump filter blocked?
Is the drain hose higher than 1200 mm above floor level? Lower the level of the drain hose (refer
to page 5).
