(1) Add a gallon of water to bowl.
(2) Wait 10 minutes, allowing water to settle.
(3) Mark water level with a wax pencil.
(4) Flush toilet.
a. If the water reaches your mark in the bowl and the ll valve is still
running, then decrease the water entering the bowl: See step (5).
b. If the valve shuts o before the water has reached your mark in the
bowl, then increase the water entering the bowl: See step (6).
(5) Push down on the roller (Y) and roll it to the next lower number. Repeat
step (4).
(6) Push down on the roller (Y) and roll it to the next higher number. Repeat
step (4).
Continue adjusting in this manner until the water reaches your mark in the
bowl at the same time the ll valve turns o in the tank.
The rell tube (Z) directs water into the ush valve and down into the bowl
during a ush. If too much water enters the bowl, it is wasted going over the
trap and down the drain. The roller clamp (Y) regulates the amount of water
entering the bowl.
