What to do if the Focus Industries Farm Equipment venturi won’t suck?
    • Z
      Zachary LopezAug 17, 2025
If the venturi isn’t sucking, start by checking its installation to ensure it's in the correct direction and the nozzle is properly placed. Also, verify that the discharge line is large enough to handle the mixture flow; it should be at least the size of the venturi package fittings (2” or 3”, depending on the model). Finally, inspect the lines for any obstructions, which can be done by connecting a hose directly from the venturi to the top of the sprayer tank, bypassing the sprayer plumbing.

What to do if Focus Industries Farm Equipment threaded fittings leak?
    • B
      bryanttimothyAug 20, 2025
If threaded fittings are leaking, ensure you're using the sealant properly, following the manufacturer's instructions. Remember to store and apply the sealant between 20°F and 140°F on clear tapered threads. For pipes up to 1 1/4”, apply a thick, even coat to male threads only; for larger sizes, apply to both male and female threads. Tighten up to 3 full turns past hand tight for pipes up to 2”, and up to 2 full turns for larger sizes. Allow a cure time of approximately 24 hours, which may vary.

Why does my Focus Industries Farm Equipment venturi suck, but not when lines are hooked to the sprayer?
    • M
      Michael HartAug 22, 2025
If the venturi sucks properly until connected to the sprayer, it could be due to improper fittings. Check that all fittings are at least the same size as the hose. Minimize tees and elbows to reduce back pressure. Another common cause is filters in the fill line at the sprayer, which can reduce venturi performance. If your sprayer inlet is 1 1/2” or your tank is smaller than 500 gallons, adapt your Handler to 1 1/2” fittings, preferably by changing the camlock sizes of your 2” Handler to 1 1/2” using reducers and 1 1/2” camlocks, instead of only reducing the hose size.

What to do if my Focus Industries Farm Equipment pump is cavitating?
    • D
      David FernandezAug 26, 2025
If the pump is cavitating, reduce suction from the Handler tank by partially closing the suction valve. This will regulate the speed at which the mixture is drawn from the Handler. Once all of the liquid has been drawn from the tank, shut off the suction valve.

Why is chemical splashing from my Focus Industries Handler I?
    • T
      Taylor LangSep 2, 2025
Chemical splashing can occur due to improper handling of jugs. Apply constant, even pressure when puncturing the container, and avoid forcing the jug onto the knife assembly. A dull blade can also cause splashing, so resharpen the knife assembly by removing it and hand sharpening with a file or grinder.

How to fix clogged suction lines or venturi in Focus Industries Handler I Farm Equipment?
    • M
      Michael CampbellSep 5, 2025
If suction lines or the venturi are clogged, especially due to insufficiently dissolved granular product, force water back into the venturi by opening the bypass valve. This allows water to back up into the Handler tank and dislodge any obstructions.

    • B
      Brian HowardSep 8, 2025

Why is my Focus Industries Handler I Farm Equipment tank calibration not accurate?
    • E
      Emily LucasSep 10, 2025
Inaccurate tank calibration can result from the tank not being level, so ensure the system is level. It can also be caused by fittings and line volumes not being accounted for. The tank calibration marks indicate the volume of the tank, but do not take into account added volume in the lines and fittings. Pre-calibrate the volume of your lines and fittings to get more accurate readings.
