NAS maintenance
Failure or malfunction of a hard disk
Please proceed as follows if a h ard disk malfunctions or fails:
► Make a note of all unexpected behaviour and/or error messages to assist the technician.
► Stop using the NAS for any purpose and switch it off.
► Contact technical support.
The N AS m ust be repaired by a trained technician. Never try to repair the NAS yourself.
Power failure or abnor

In case of power outage or abnormal shut down o f the NAS, the system will resume to the s tate
before it is shut down. If your server does no t function properly af ter restart, please do the following:
► If the system configu ration is lost due to the shut down or power f ailure ,
then reconfigure the system manually.
► In th e event of abnormal operatio n of the s ystem, or if error messages are displayed,
contact customer services for technical supp ort.

If the system s oftware does not operate correctly, the NA S will automatically restart to
restore normal operation. If the system restarts continuously, it may fail to resume normal
operation. Please contact technical support immediately in such cases.
System temperature protection
When the system tempera ture exceeds 70 °C (158 °F), the system will shut
down automatically to protect the hardware.
