RAID restore
The CELVIN NAS supports exclusive RAID restore technology to restore a RAID drive
damaged due to accidental separation or removal of hard disks from the system. Via
RAID restore, you can restore an inactive RAID 1, RAID 5 or RAID 6 drive to degraded
mode or an inactive RAID 0 and JBOD configuration to normal mode.

If the drive statu
s is not active, you can install the same hard disks in the same slots of the N AS again.
► Choose Storage M
anager - RAID Administration - Restore.
► Wait about 60 seconds until the process is completed.
After the resto
re is completed, you can access your data again.
After the RAID
1, RAID 5 or RAID 6 drive has been restored from inactive to degraded
mode (via RAID
restore) you can read an d write data on the drive as normal.
The drive sta
tus is restored to normal state after the synchronisation.
If the d isc o n
nected hard disk is damaged, RAID restore will not work.
