Overview
This section describes how to open and close the ADF.
How to Open the ADF
1 Remove all documents from the ADF paper chute
(feeder).
2 Lift up the ADF release tabs to open the ADF.
How to Close the ADF
1 Close the ADF.
Push the center of the ADF until it locks in place.
1.4 Opening/Closing the ADF
When the ADF is open, it might close
accidentally. Be careful not to get your
fingers caught.
ATTENTION
Check that the document cover is closed and then open the ADF. If
you open the ADF with the document cover open, an error may
occur.

then close it.
