Switch the device on
► If necessary, switch the monitor on (see the operating manual for the monitor).

► Press the ON/OFF switch on t
he front of the device.
The power indicator lights up and the device starts.
Operating systems and management

Depending on the c onfiguration level, your device is fitted with one of the following operating systems:
• eLux
• Windows® Embedded Standard 7
• Windows® 10 IoT Enterprise 201 5 LTSB
Regardless of the operating system, your device can be managed with the
Scout Enterprise management solution.
eLux
The eLux Thin C
lient o perating system is based on Linux and is protected against
viruses and ma
lware by the write-protected file system.
It ha s a lean a
nd modular structure, and thus h as low demands on the hardware. It enables access
to the server
via the integrated Citrix a nd Microsoft clients as well as the optional VMware client. It
has a user-f
riendly licence model, with the possibility of transferring licences to new devices.
