Connecting an external monitor
You can connect an external monitor to the analogue VGA monitor connection of th e
notebook. Screen output is limited to a maxim um of two screens at a ny one time (see
"
Key combinations", Page 24, section "Toggle output screen").

► Switch off the notebook and the external monitor.
► Connect the data cable of the external monitor to the monitor port of the notebook.
► First switch on the external monitor and then the notebook.
You can also use a key combination to switch back and forth between t he external
monitor and the notebook’s LCD screen, see chapter "
Key combinations", Page 24.
You can display the same picture o n the external monitor and the
notebook LCD screen simultaneously.

The HDMI port on your notebook can be used to connect an external amplifier,
LCD TV or a plasma TV with an HDMI connection.
► Connect t he data cable to the
external device .
► Connect the data cable to the HDMI
port of the notebook.
