The BIOS Setup Utility allow s you to set the system fu nctions and the hardware
configuration for the n otebook.
When a notebook is delivered, the factory default settings are e ffective. You can change
these settings in the menus of the BIOS Se tup Utility. Any changes you make take
effect as soon as you save and exit the BIOS Setu p Utility.
The BIOS Setup Utility program contains the following m enus:
Info
Displays information relating to the BIOS, processor and notebook
System
Advanced system settings
Advanced
Configuration of various hardware c ompo nents, such as mouse, keyboard,
processor
Security
Password settings and security functions
Boot
Configuration of the start-up sequence
Exit
Exits the BIOS S etup Utility
Starting the BIOS Setup Utility
► Reboot the devi
ce (switch off/on or reboot the o perating system).

Depending on the setting for Fast Boot in the BIOS-S etu p- U tility, the following
notification may appear on the screen during start-up:
<F2> BIOS Set
up <F12> Boot Menu

► If a password has been assigned, enter the password and pre ss the Enter key.
If you have forgotten the passw ord, contact your system administrator
or contact our customer service center.
The BIOS Setup Utility starts.
